Welcome

We invite Prof. Karsten Danzmann and Prof. Gerhard Heinzel from Albert Einstein Institute (AEI) in Hannover, Germany, to give lectures on gravitational waves and the gravitational-wave space antenna LISA. We also invite Dr. Fumiko Kawazoe from University of Hannover to give a lecture on the education in Germany and the career plan.

Lecturers

Prof. Karsten Danzmann
He is the director of the Einstein Institute in Hannover, Germany, responsible for the 600-meter long GEO600 ground-based gravitational wave telescope, and a pioneer in the LISA space gravitational wave telescope project.
Prof. Gerhard Heinzel
He is a research group leader of the LISA project at the Einstein Institute. He has also worked on the TAMA 300 gravitational wave telescope in Japan.
Dr. Fumiko Kawazoe
A graduate of Ochanomizu University, she has a background in research and development of gravitational wave telescopes in Japan and Germany. She is currently a Research Administrator at the University of Hannover.
